Shadowwizard is a 3D Puzzleplatformer about a wizard, who is able to transmute himself into darkness and connect with shadows. Break into your neighbor’s house to steal their rare magical plant. It’s the last ingredient for your coolness boost potion. Navigate through a dungeon using your light casting spells and shadow-traveling skills. Solve the puzzles and finish the game to impress your friends.

Move - WASD and Mouse

Change into shadowform: "E" or "Space" (only works when aiming at shadow nearby)

Leave shadowform: "E" / "Space"

Grab/Drop moveable crate: "E" / "Space"

Cast lightspell: Left mousebutton

Move lightspell: WASD

Return to character after cast: "E" / "Space"

Pause Menu: P (bugged)

No dynamic shadowrendering due to WebGL format. Still playable due to the UI (shows "Shadow" when aiming at shadow)

- very cool title screen

- extremely wonky mouse controls due to high sensitivity: maybe add an option to adjust that

- unique take on the theme

- the camera sometimes clipped through the walls, showing other areas

- sometimes it was difficult to see where I could turn to shadow form or not. The text indicator helped, but actual shadows would've been more immersive. (Edit: sorry, didn't see the hint about WebGL)

- the low-poly graphics look great, especially the bottles and bumpy rocks on floor and walls help to make the areas look visually uh... diverse (not just flat surfaces)

Disclaimer: These are just my opinions, so a lot of it is very subjective.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback! I totally agree. Definitely should adjust the mouse sensitivity, also camera collision and visible shadows would make the game better. I'm currently thinking about integrating shadows with a custom texture and color, maybe even an outline to make them more visible. Also volumetric lighting would be huge!

Sweet game! Love the concept (re-appropriating magical herbs from friendly neighbours is totally a cool wizard move).

Once I understood that shadows can only naviguate in created shadows, the puzzles were very smooth.

Good job! :D

Thanks for the feedback! I'm happy that you liked the game ^^
